The Easter bunny won’t be “HOPPY” this Easter season since consumers are expected to spend less than last year on chocolate eggs and jelly beans.   Americans are more thrifty this holiday because they are still concerned about the economy.  The average shopper will spend $137 on clothes, food, candy, gifts, and greeting cards.  Total spending is expected to reach about $16 billion dollars.  Here’s a trivia fact – the 16 billion jellybeans we buy at Easter can circle the globe three times!
